Great News Apple Fans. Your favorite Icelandic computer game company, CCP Games, released the Mac version of the Trinity client for EVE Online. The EVE Online Mac client has the same functionality as the Windows client, and provides a point and click interface to an online world where 220,000 subscribers run 460,000 characters, and often times have more than 25,000 connections to the same shared world server (Tranquility) at the same time.

If you've never heard of EVE Online Mac, now's the time to get started! The client is available now (and EVE Online Mac has been available since November of 2007), making CCP one of the few companies to simultaneously release apps for Mac, Linux and Windows at the same time. EVE Online Mac allows you to connect to the most successful science fiction massively multiplayer online game on the market. With over 5,000 solar systems to explore, all lavishly ginned up with space graphics from nebulas to planets to the obligatory star smashing battleships, frigates and destroyers, the EVE Online experience ties you to four factions carving a new civilization out of an intergalactic dark age.

EVE Online Mac allows you to pilot your ships, building up skills over time (with EVE Online's peculiar "skills increase over time, even if you're not logged in") skill building system. Regrettably, there aren't any Mac versions of the third party utilities like EVEtrade and EVEmon yet for EVE Online Mac.

On EVE Online, you perform a number of missions, like mining, hunting down pirates, and building things to build up your resource bases, and get better gear; there's more to do than just random carnage against randomly generated computer characters; most of the challenge of EVE Online comes from the way that security zones (how much law and order is maintained) vary from system to system throughout the galaxy. As the law quotient drops, the social dynamics change - and the rewards (and risks) go up, with lots of EVE Online corporations coalescing into alliances and more to police their own areas of space. As a downloader of EVE Online Mac, you can take part in this incredible gaming experience, mining, building, patrolling and crushing your enemies as the universe burns around you in glorious three dee color and animation.

Set in an ancient, barbaric world chock-full of quests- from simple tasks to epic adventures, you can foray through the kingdoms of Hyboria as a rogue, priest, soldier or mage. These profiles even have sub-categories, so you can more or less let your imagination run free in this game.

True to the tradition of MMO games, Age Of Conan doesn't come free of course. One has to part with $13-$15 U.S. to be able to roam around spreading death and mayhem in the Hyborian Kingdoms. If current fuel prices have somehow found a way to restrict your entertainment budget, then knowing how to level-up quick might be a necessary asset. With the multitudes of combat variables in this massive rpg (that's where the first M comes from), having a leveling guide on hand can save you the guesswork of where and how to go about slaying antagonists for quicker level increase. You can still play the game and enjoy it without one of course. Dear Abby - DEAR ABBY: Four months ago, a guy I know from work asked if he could stay with me for a few weeks until he finished saving for his own apartment. Two weeks later he was fired from his job.
